Object of mourning
The next hit
Not joy itself—the promise that one more spark will finally become a home.
A wake for the rush that kept promising life and returning appetite. This may resemble the end. It is only the last dark room before the first honest breath.

diminishing-return study
Every catch begins the silence again. The glow will keep offering itself. Rest begins only when you let the next one pass.

condition report
Dopamine Funeral is not a rejection of feeling. It is the recognition that a sensation designed to pass cannot carry the weight of identity.
Object of mourning
Not joy itself—the promise that one more spark will finally become a home.
Cause of death
Each reward arrives smaller while the appetite learns to ask sooner.
What kept it alive
Silence threatened to reveal the self the noise was hired to conceal.
What remains
Not a cure. Not yet. Only enough space to hear what survived the rush.
reflection archive · final wake
This is the last room before Soft Reset. Nothing has been repaired here. The noise has only been permitted to finish dying, leaving the listener alone with the space it occupied.
“When the noise stops, you’ll hear what’s left.”
01
The track does not condemn pleasure. It grieves what happens when every spark is asked to become shelter. The glow arrives, peaks, and leaves; instead of accepting its nature, the hand reaches again and calls the reaching life.
02
Silence is frightening because it returns what distraction postponed. The crowd inside the crowd, the rehearsed laugh, the open eyes and sleeping soul—each image describes a person using volume to keep from hearing their own unprocessed signal.
03
This darkness is not a grave for the self. It is a burial for the lie that the next hit will make the self whole. Hands empty. Heads bowed. The casket closes around a mechanism that could never love the person feeding it.
04
The final silence may resemble death because stimulation taught the nervous system to recognize only impact. But something remains after the static stops: breath, weight, memory, and the unadorned person standing at the threshold of Soft Reset.
final accounting
The casket does not hold the person. It holds the promise that another hit could substitute for a life. The person walks out empty-handed—and alive.
complete funeral record
The arrangement repeatedly withdraws until silence stops functioning as absence and becomes the final instrument.
low sub rumble · analog hiss · distant choir pad
Static in the bloodstream,
gold glow in a black screen.
Heartbeat buffering…
meaning not found.
half-time · distorted bass dragging · dry close vocal
We stayed awake to feel alive,
fed the scroll till silence died.
Every hit another promise broke,
every laugh rehearsed, revoked.
Neon prayers and plastic highs,
thumbs bleed truth into the lies.
We don’t chase joy, we chase the sound
of anything that drowns us out.
instruments withdraw · sub pulse remains
Can’t feel pain, can’t feel proud,
just a crowd inside a crowd.
If this is living, lower me down.
chant-like hook · alternating rhythm · funeral tempo
Black tie for the rush,
—never enough—
Say amen to the numb,
—call it love—
Hands up for the hit,
—eyes shut tight—
Pray to feel something
—tonight—
Lower the lights,
—real slow—
Close the casket…
Do-pa-mine…
Fu-ner-al.
breath held · piano echoes · silence between notes
Do… pa… mine…
Fu… ner… al…
[Long exhale]
[Analog hiss swells and fades]
[Heartbeat slows]
[Silence becomes part of the rhythm]
bass returns gently · restrained delivery
We made idols out of noise,
sold our peace for decoys.
Every spark just burns quicker now,
fireworks in a drought.
Eyes open, soul asleep,
metrics measure what we’re worth to keep.
If everything’s loud, nothing’s true,
if everyone’s high, who’s feeling you?
return · steadier · resigned

hollow synth · long reverb · slow rise
Silence scares us more than death,
so we breathe it in between each breath.
If I sit still I might remember
who I was before December.
Hold the space…
hold the weight…
heavier · layered chants · deepest resolve

message alone · intimate
When the noise stops,
you’ll hear what’s left.
Not the rush.
Not the glow.
Just you…
and the space you forgot how to feel.
Platform relays will open when CTRL ALT RESET goes live. Until then, this room preserves the shape of the track without pretending the silence is a preview.
the noise is gone · the self remains
No rush. No glow. Just you—and the space you forgot how to feel. Soft Reset begins on the other side of this silence.
